I think until this day I just assumed trousers just existed. they are not made by people. thats insane. they just...are. and we except it. this isnt really my belief....luckily. however I sat and drafted out a block for some victorian ladies drawers today. I cut out my calico to make my toile....and then sat and stared at the two legs like they were completely foreign entities. do I sew the legs up first....or the crotch....where does that bit go? I cant sew that bit up or they wont fit legs. I admit for the first time in a long time.....I was completely perplexed by this pattern. so i started pinning it together to see if this shone any light on my predicament. luckily with the help from some fellow costumes students who had previously branched away from big fluffy lady dresses.....it all fell into place....I hope. these are some big baggy....sexy drawers. ;)
obviously they are too long and havent been gathered correctly etc. however I just wanted to emphisise the fact that today i have created something that correctly goes on the human leg. *bows* thankyou and goodnight
