I decided to start a new Pinterest board, that specifically links to the characters and garments i need to research and look for. one of the reasons i find Pinterest a really helpful tool, is that if you are looking up certain things for example, Elizabethan ruffs, it will show pictures, that come from online tutorials or blogs, explaining how they were made.
For the same reason YouTube is ideal, more so for me, as a visual learner. Reading or Listening to a process is a lot harder for me, seeing it visually means i pick it up much easier, and once Ive seen it, i remember it. i guess that's an example of how every student works and learns differently and we have different needs in order to learn. expecting a whole class of students to understand a process in the same way is unrealistic. Time consuming yes. But beneficial to get the most out of each students ability.

I also researched Ruffs in a historical Costume pattern book.
